Goo Goo Dolls & Phillip Phillips

24th July 2017 - Monday 19:30

Sensational alternative rock and pop rock artists Goo Goo Dolls and Phillip Phillips are bringing their signature sounds to the Huntington Bank Pavilion!

The Goo Goo dolls were formed in Buffalo in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik, vocalist and bassist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. They named themselves after a toy (called a Goo Goo Doll) in a True Detective (true crime magazine published from 1924 to 1995) ad. John said in an interview, “We were young and we were a garage band not trying to get a deal. We had a gig that night and needed a name. It's the best we came up with, and for some reason it stuck. If I had five more minutes, I definitely would have picked a better name.” The band’s been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of John and Robby along with touring musicians Brad Fernquist (guitar, mandolin, and backing vocals), Korel Tunador (keyboards, guitar, saxophone, and backing vocals), and Craig Macintyre (drums, percussion, and backing vocals). They’ve had a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 1 live album, 3 compilation albums, 1 video album, 34 music videos, 9 extended plays, 24 singles, 4 Grammy Award nominations, and they’ve sold more than 12 million albums worldwide.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to alternative rock and pop rock!
